Gen Gaming Consoles-Home Entertainment game

People interested in technology and home entertainment like to get their hands on the latest, greatest products. Before, it was all about having the top of the line DVD player, receiver and speaker system. And though those things still hold serious importance, there’s one product type that seems destined to swoop in on the home entertainment market. I’m talking about next-gen gaming consoles, the XBox 360 and PS3, in particular.

As you know, both of these gaming consoles feature a hard drive, the ability to stream content from your computer, built-in web browsers, interactive stores, DVD players (though PS3 has Blu-ray) and both either currently or will soon offer the ability to download or rent movies. The Griffin iTrip Universal is the latest gadget from Griffin Technology’s line of FM transmitters that was designed to work with most of portable audio players. You just need to connect your MP3 player to its 3.5mm headphone cable. The gadget also offers a backlit LCD display, a rechargeable internal battery, stereo/mono output modes and a three station memory. The Griffin iTrip Universal is priced at around $40.

It includes A/V input for iphone /ipod or any AV composite embedded stereo Speaker. It also features docking station for playing and recharging options for IPod,IPod touch or Iphone. With the dimension of only 76*102*54 mm, it is very light and practical to carry around. Price is going to be very competitive comparing to the high-end brands, although no details on suggested retail price so far.

Contact Lenses Prevent Blindness

The World Health Organization estimates that glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness worldwide. Glaucoma is a build-up of pressure in the eye. Some researchers at UC Davis have designed contact lenses that can measure pressure within the eye and provides a warning if there is something wrong. The smart contact lenses use an organic polymer called PDMS that functions as a simple pressure sensor. Good news is that UC Davis will start clinical trials of these smart contact lenses in humans very soon.
